Autism Delaware’s mission is to help people and families affected by autism.
Our vision is that all people with autism have opportunities to learn, grow and live full lives as included and valued members of their communities.
- We will continue to expand creative and innovative services, resources and support to individuals and families, while using evidence-based methods to become a model for others.
- We will build capacity in the community by partnering and collaborating with other entities, leading a group effort that will provide a wide array of person-centered, individualized services across the lifespan to meet the growing need.
- We will be the leading resource for expertise, advocacy and raising awareness of autism in Delaware.
The newest version of Autism Delaware’s strategic plan takes the agency from 2013 until 2018 and encompasses both additional efforts in family support services, as well as expansion of our direct services efforts. The plan was created through a process that lasted about a year and included Autism Delaware staff, members of our Board of Directors, professionals in a variety of areas (notably communications and technology) and reflected input received during public comment periods from individuals and families affected by autism in Delaware.
If you have questions about our strategic plan, don’t hesitate to email our Executive Director, Teresa Avery at firstname.lastname@example.org.
